We’re wishing every woman across Evolution a very happy International Women’s Day!
Across our Group we have over 450 women (over 84%) who continually strive to provide excellence in the health and wellbeing for the people in our care. We have women in roles across all areas of our Group – from housekeepers to nurses, IT to chefs, HR to our very own CEO.
History shows that there were many national observance days across the world to promote equal rights including suffrage for women.
Today, International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8 March to recognise the power of womanhood and a focus on women’s rights.
At Evolution we’re proud to have so many amazing and accomplished women work within our Group!
“There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.” – Michelle Obama
Sue Channon, Chief Executive Officer for Evolution, reflects on her achievements throughout her professional career.
“When I started out as a nurse, I didn’t plan or expect to be in the position I am today. From commencing my career in the health sector as a nurse, I’ve proudly been in healthcare leadership roles for over 25 years.
From starting my nursing career in the late 1970’s the career options for women were not as diverse as they are now, so back then I never thought about becoming a CEO”!
Seeing the change in healthcare over this time I am proud to lead Evolution Healthcare and all our wonderful staff who make a difference in people’s lives every day.”
