NEW DATE – Havelock North – CME session on Neurospine

NEW DATE!

During this event, GPs and primary healthcare practitioners will hear a presentation from Mr Reuben Johnson, Neurosurgeon at Wakefield Hospital in Wellington, and Royston Hospital in Hawke’s Bay. Over the two hours CME session you will hear a presentation on Neurospine topics including cervical discectomy v arthroplasty, cervical myelopathy, and lumbar laminectomy v lumbar fusion surgery.

Learning outcomes:

  1. Understand the pros and cons of cervical fusion v. cervical arthroplasty
  2. Understand Natural history and treatment of cervical myelopathy
  3. Understand the Indications and limitations of  lumbar fusion surgery
  4. Knowledge of spinal referral pathways in the Hawkes Bay
