During this event, GPs will hear a presentation from Dr Ana Braithwaite (Gastroenterology),  Dr Bertrand Jauffret (Endoscopy, General Surgery) on ‘Early Onset Colorectal Cancer’ and “Bowel cancer in younger patients, when to screen ideally” and “Ileostomy indications and metabolic consequences in the community” and “Large Hiatus Hernia for discussion”.

  • The need of screening early and the bowel cancer NZ association
  • The reason of using ileostomy in rectal surgery and how to manage them in the community

Dr Ana Braithwaite – “Early Onset Colorectal Cancer”

  • Has the incidence increased?
  • What should we do about it.
